ORLANDO — An Orange County motorist is suing a Polk County driver, alleging negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Reinier Correa Garcia filed a complaint Jan. 30 in Orange County Circuit Court against Miguel Maldonado, alleging failure to operate a motor vehicle in a careful and prudent manner.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 10, 2017, Garcia was traveling north on state Road 423 when suddenly and without warning, Maldonado's 2007 Saturn VUE hit the plaintiff's motor vehicle from the rear. Garcia says he sustained bodily injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, the expense of hospitalization, medical and nursing care and treatment and the loss of earnings.

The plaintiff alleges Maldonado negligently maintained and operated his Saturn, causing it to collide with Garcia's vehicle.

Garcia seeks trial by jury, damages that exceed $15,000, together with court costs and pre-judgment interest. He is represented by attorney Fanny Nater of Nater Law Firm PLLC in Orlando.
