CLEARWATER — A woman is suing Sandra Carr, a driver, citing alleged negligence.

Kimberly Matteson filed a complaint on Jan. 28, in the 6th Judicial Circuit of Florida - Pinellas County against Sandra Carr alleging that Carr negligently operated her motor vehicle causing it to collide with Matteson's motor vehicle.

According to the complaint, Matteson alleges that on May 4, 2017, she was traveling at or near N. Highland Avenue in Pinellas County when her vehicle was struck by Carr's vehicle. She sustained injuries and resulting pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish and loss of capacity to enjoy life.

 The plaintiff holds Carr responsible because she allegedly negligently operated her vehicle at an excessive speed, failed to observe traffic conditions and failed to stop her vehicle to avoid a collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in excess of $15,000, exclusive of costs and interest and attorneys’ fees and all issues so triable. She is represented by Michael C. McQuagge and Christine Elaine King of The McQuagge & King Law Firm in Fort Myers.
