CLEARWATER — A motorist is suing another driver, alleging her negligence caused a crash in Clearwater that injured the plaintiff.

Jacob Raybon filed a complaint Jan. 15, in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Phyllis McAtasney, alleging the defendant failed to operate a motor vehicle in a careful and prudent manner.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 15, 2017, Raybon was operating a motor vehicle on South Missouri Avenue in Clearwater when he was negligently run into by a vehicle driven by McAtasney. The suit says Raybon sustained bodily injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges McAtasney negligently operated or maintained her motor vehicle so that it collided with Raybon's car.

Raybon seeks trial by jury, damages that exceed $15,000, plus court costs and interest. He is represented by attorney Stephen R. Kanzer of Morgan & Morgan Tampa PA in Tampa.
