CLEARWATER — A motorist is suing Alisiana Cortes and Nancy Jimenez, a vehicle driver and its owner, citing alleged negligence.

Thipphaphone Bounsanor filed a complaint on Jan. 14 in the 6th Judicial Circuit of Florida - Pinellas County against the defendants alleging that Jimenez negligently entrusted her motor vehicle to Cortes knowing that Cortes would not safely operate the motor vehicle.

According to the complaint, Bounsanor alleges that on Aug. 28, 2018, she was injured in an automobile collision with the defendants' vehicle at or near Boca Ciega High School in Pinellas County. She suffered bodily injury and resulting pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life and lost the use of her vehicle during the period required for repair or replacement.

The plaintiff holds Alisiana Cortes and Nancy Jimenez responsible because Cortes allegedly negligently operated the vehicle so that it collided with her motor vehicle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages that exceeds $15,000 and all issues so triable as a matter of right. She is represented by Joey D. Oquist of Royal Palm Legal Service PA in St. Petersburg.
