CLEARWATER — A Manatee County man is suing a Clearwater auto dealership, alleging negligence and premises liability led to injuries to the plaintiff.

Daniel Rodriguez-Vasquez of Bradenton filed a complaint Jan. 14 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Dimmit Automotive Group, alleging the defendant failed to reduce, minimize or eliminate the dangerous conditions on its premises.

According to the complaint, on May 5, 2016, Rodriguez-Vasquez was an invitee at Dimmit Automotive Group in Clearwater when he was stuck and pinned between two automobiles as he attempted to stop one of the vehicles from rolling backward onto him. Rodriguez-Vasquez says he sustained bodily injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, disfigurement, disability and expenses for medical, nursing care and treatment.

The plaintiff alleges Dimmit Automotive failed to provide employees with proper safety procedures while performing their duties and failed to warn Rodriguez-Vasquez of the dangerous condition associated with the accident.

Rodriguez-Vasquez seeks trial by jury, damages that exceed $15,000, exclusive of costs and attorney fees, and all just and proper relief. He is represented by attorney Jonathan Sanclemente of The Pendas Law Firm in Tampa.
