CLEARWATER — A couple is suing a motorist, citing alleged negligence.

Terrie Linn Silvera and Isaac B. Nieves filed a complaint on Jan. 7 in the 6th Judicial Circuit of Florida-Pinellas County against Aline McCann alleging that she operated her motor vehicle so as to strike and collide with the plaintiffs' vehicle.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 13, 2015, Terri Linn Silvera was operating her motor vehicle on Union Street at or near its intersection with Promenade Drive when McCann allegedly operated her vehicle in a negligent manner, striking Silvera's vehicle.

As a result, Silvera sustained physical injuries and disability, and Nieves lost the society and companionship of his wife.

The plaintiffs hold Aline McCann responsible because she allegedly was careless and negligent in the operation of her 2010 Hyundai, causing a collision and injuries to Silvera.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment for damages in the amount of $15,000 plus costs and for such other relief to which they may be justly entitled. They are represented by Daniel Perez of Law Office of Daniel Perez, Jr. PA in Tampa.
