St. Petersburg motorist alleges another driver's negligence caused crash

CLEARWATER — A St. Petersburg motorist is suing another driver, alleging negligence caused a crash that injured the plainitff.

Jose Trevino Jr. filed a complaint Jan. 8 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Wayne Marge Sr., alleging the driver failed to maintain proper control of the vehicle he was operating.

According to the complaint, on June 23, 2017, Trevino was involved in a motor vehicle collision with Marge's 2006 GMC Sierra at the intersection of 5th Avenue North and 34th Street North in St. Petersburg. Trevino says he sustained serious bodily injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, lost wages and medical expenses. 

The plaintiff alleges Marge negligently and carelessly operated and/or maintained his GMC Sierra so that it violently collided with the vehicle Trevino was operating.

Trevino seeks trial by jury, damages of at least $15,000 and all just and proper legal relief. He is represented by attorney Frank DiCosola of Pinellas Park.
