CLEARWATER — A woman is suing Matthew Lyons, a driver, citing alleged negligence.

Sherica Ashley filed a complaint on Jan. 9 in the 6th Judicial Circuit of Florida-Pinellas County against Matthew Lyons alleging that he breached his duty to exercise reasonable care in operating of the motor vehicle he was driving.

According to the complaint, Ashley alleges that on Nov. 19, 2018, she was driving on 40728 US 19 North in Pinellas County when Lyons crashed his vehicle directly into the vehicle Ashley was operating. She sustained bodily injury and disability, pain and suffering, disfigurement, medical expenses and lost wages, and incurred damage to her motor vehicle.

The plaintiff holds Matthew Lyons responsible because he allegedly negligently operated the vehicle in such a manner to cause it to crash directly into the vehicle she was operating.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and compensatory damages, court costs and such other and further relief as is just and proper. She is represented by Paul W. Rebein and Melody June Manning of Rebein Brothers Law Firm in Tampa.
