Man claims other driver in accident was negligent

CLEARWATER — A man is suing Kelly James, a driver, citing alleged negligence.

Joseph Muller filed a complaint on Jan. 7 in the 6th Judicial Circuit of Florida-Pinellas County against Kelly James alleging that she failed to operate her motor vehicle in a careful and prudent manner.

According to the complaint, Muller alleges that on Sept. 21, 2017, he was involved in a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of 49th Street North and 70th Avenue North in Pinellas Park. He suffered bodily injury and resulting pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish and medical and hospitalization expenses. 

The plaintiff holds Kelly James responsible because she allegedly negligently operated or maintained her motor vehicle so that it collided with the vehicle operated by the plaintiff,.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, which exceed the sum of $15,000, exclusive of costs and attorney's fees and all issues so triable. He is represented by Dean W. Karikas of Karikas & Kasaris PA in St. Petersburg.
