GREENBERG TRAURIG: Liz Dudek Speaks at GMCC Healthcare Committee Meeting

Meeting 08

Greenberg & Traurig issued the following announcement on Jan. 23.

Liz Dudek, Director of Health Care Affairs for global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A. spoke at the Jan. 24 Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce (GMCC) Healthcare Committee Meeting at 9:00 a.m. at 1601 Biscayne Boulevard in Miami, Florida.

Dudek joined by the Honorable Rene Garcia who served on the Florida Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Health and Human Services. They will discuss healthcare issues that are likely to arise during the legislative session, the potential changes expected in Florida healthcare with the transition of Governor Ron DeSantis and Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nuñez, some of the key issues that Floridians should anticipate as well as the people who may emerge as prominent leaders in healthcare.

According to the GMCC website, the GMCC Healthcare Committee supports the Chamber’s overall strategic plan by creating an entry point for health-related organizations to network and discuss timely issues and promoting partnerships with regional and local health organizations. The committee supports Chamber members by empowering them to provide the most appropriate health and wellness programs for their employees while supporting community efforts to build the overall health necessary to improve South Florida’s workforce.

Based in Greenberg Traurig’s Tallahassee office, Dudek is Director of Healthcare Affairs, and is part of the firm’s state and national Health & FDA Business Practice, as well as the Government Law & Policy Practice. She helps the firm’s clients navigate the healthcare system, interact with agencies, and better understand legislative affairs and their accompanying issues. Her career in Florida’s state government spanned over 40 years across a variety of senior management positions including secretary of the Agency for Health Care Administration and deputy secretary of Health Quality Assurance. As secretary, Dudek oversaw one of the largest Medicaid programs in the nation. Under her administration, the Agency successfully implemented the Statewide Medicaid Managed Care program and the establishment of the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. She has decades of experience working with health care facilities, providers, and insurers.
