Ford alleges vehicle owners owes more than $6,000

CLEARWATER — Ford is suing a vehicle owner, alleging breach of contract in failing to pay more than $6,000.

Ford Motor Credit Company LLC filed a complaint Jan. 3 in Pinellas Circuit Court against Stavros Theofilos Maglis, alleging breach of a Florida vehicle retail installment contract by defaulting on payments for the purchased vehicle.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 10, 2016, the parties entered into a Florida vehicle retail installment contract wherein Ford Motor Credit became the assignor and holder of the contract in which Maglis agreed to make payments for the vehicle purchased at a Tampa auction. However, the suit says, the defendant currently owes the remaining balance of $6,334.17 

Ford Motor Credit seeks trial by jury, judgment of $6,334.17, plus interest, attorney fees and court costs. It is  represented by attorney Marvin Solomon of Solomon, Vigh PA in Tampa.
