Former employee alleges TradeStar failed to offer severance pay

ORLANDO — A former employee is suing an Orange County company, alleging breach of an employment agreement.

Anthony Carrasco filed a complaint Dec. 31 in Orange County Circuit Court against TradeStar Inc., alleging his former employer failed to fulfill its contractual obligations.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 11, 2018, TradeStar terminated Carrasco's employment but he was denied severance pay due in the amount of $7,500. The plaintiff alleges TradeStar terminated him without cause and refused to provide severance pay.

Carrasco seeks trial by jury, damages of $7,500, plus court costs and reasonable attorney fees. He is represented by attorney N. James Turner of Orlando.
