ORLANDO — An invitee is suing Blue Man Group, alleging negligence and premises liability led to the plaintiff being hit by a door.
Lisa Marie Bailey filed a complaint Dec. 20 in Orange County Circuit Court against Blue Man Orlando LLC and Blue Man Group Holdings LLC,, alleging they negligently maintained its premises in an unreasonably dangerous condition.
According to the complaint, on Sept. 27, 2016, Bailey was lawfully on defendants’ Universal CityWalk premises in Orlando for a Blue Man Group performance when she was struck by a door opened by an employee. Bailey says she sustained bodily injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, disability and disfigurement, medical care and treatment expenses and loss of earnings.
The plaintiff alleges Blue Man Orlando and Blue Man Group Holdings failed to provide a safe walkway from the lobby to the theater seats, failed to prevent doors from opening forcefully into a walkway and failed to provide a window or door viewer in the doors.
Bailey seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000, exclusive of interest and court costs, and all further appropriate relief. She is represented by attorney Anthony J. Caggiano of Florida Trial MD PA in Orlando.
