Car accident 15

CLEARWATER — A motorist is suing Uber and a driver, alleging negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Donald Larsen filed a complaint Dec. 19 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Rashier LLC, doing business as Uber, and Craig William Bolen, alleging Uber negligently allowed Bolen to operate a vehicle.

According to the complaint, on May 15, 2017, Larsen was involved in a motor vehicle collision with the Uber vehicle driven by Bolen in Pinellas County. The suit says Larsen sustained bodily injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, loss of earning capacity and expenses for hospitalization, medical and nursing care and treatment.

The plaintiff alleges Bolen negligently caused the vehicle he was operating to collide with Larsen's car.

Larsen seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, with interest, court costs and attorney fees. He is represented by attorney Brad Salter of Salter, Healy LLC in St. Petersburg.
