CLEARWATER — A Pinellas County motorist is suing Coca-Cola and one of its drivers, alleging negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Gina Trimpe of Largo filed a complaint Dec. 19 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Coca-Cola Beverages Florida LLC and Christopher Grenier, alleging Coca-Cola negligently entrusted its vehicle to a careless driver.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 4, 2015, Trimpe was injured when Coca-Cola's International ProStar truck driven by Grenier collided with her car at the intersection of 66th Street North and 78th Avenue North in Pinellas Park. Trimpe says she sustained serious bodily injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish and medical and nursing care expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Grenier negligently and carelessly operated and/or maintained the truck so that it violently collided with her vehicle.

Trimpe seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, exclusive of interest, court costs and attorney fees. She is represented by attorney Frank DiCosola of Pinellas Park.
