Motorist, passenger allege another driver's negligence caused St. Petersburg crash

CLEARWATER — A motorist and passenger are suing another driver, alleging negligence his negligence caused a crash.

Melissa Savage and Ariana Savage filed a complaint Dec. 19 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Terrence G. Maurer, alleging failure to exercise reasonable care in operating a motor vehicle.

According to the complaint, on Feb. 7, 2018, Melissa Savage, driver, and Ariana Savage, passenger, were involved in an auto collision near the intersection of 66th Street North and Ninth Avenue in St. Petersburg when they were run into by a vehicle driven by Maurer. The suit says the Savages sustained bodily injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, medical expenses and loss of earnings. 

The plaintiffs allege Maurer negligently maintained and operated a motor vehicle so that it collided with plaintiffs' vehicle.

The Savages seek trial by jury, damages that exceed $15,000, exclusive of interests, court costs and attorney fees. They are represented by attorney Denmon Pearlman of St. Petersburg.
