CLEARWATER — A motorist is suing Burke Contracting Group LLC and Andrew Michael Henry, owner and insurer, citing alleged negligence.

Theresa Bila-Valdez filed a complaint on Dec. 18 in the 6th Judicial Circuit of Florida - Pinellas County alleging that Henry failed to operate the Ford truck owned by Burke in a careful and prudent manner.

According to the complaint, Bila-Valdez alleges that on June 25, 2018, she was involved in a car accident when Burke's Ford truck, driven by Henry, collided with her vehicle. She suffered serious and permanent injures resulting in pain and suffering, physical impairment and disfigurement, loss of earnings and medical expenses. She holds the defendants responsible because Henry negligently caused the truck to collide with her vehicle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages which exceed $15,000, costs, interest and such other relief to which she is entitled. She is represented by Katherine C. Neal of Carey Leisure & Neal in Clearwater.
