ORLANDO — An Orlando property owner is suing an insurer, alleging breach of an insurance contract.

Linda Heung filed a complaint Dec. 11 in Orange County Circuit Court against Tower Hill Signature Insurance Company, alleging failure to provide payment to insured property under terms of the policy.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 17, Heung sustained damages to her property at 2501 Pineway Drive, Orlando, due to sudden and immediate physical damage to the insured property. However, the suit says, despite Heung's efforts to furnish timely notice of the covered loss, Tower Hill has refused to pay either part or all of the plaintiff's claim.

The plaintiff alleges Tower Hill Signature Insurance has breached the policy by denying Heung's claim and by refusing to pay the full amount of damages.

Heung seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, plus interest, court costs, attorney fees and all other just and proper relief. She is represented by attorney Ashley Wheeler of Insurance Litigation Group PA in Miami.
