ORLANDO — A vehicle passenger is suing a motorist, citing alleged negligence.

Ginery Jimenez filed a complaint on Dec. 11 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Matthew Henry Krath alleging that he negligently and carelessly maintained, operated and controlled his vehicle, resulting in a collision.

According to the complaint, on March 23, 2017, Jimenez was a passenger in a 2010 Toyota Corolla traveling northbound on SR 417 when Krath's 2006 Hyundai allegedly caused a collision with another two vehicles that in turn collided with Jimenez's vehicle.

As a result, Jimenez sustained serious personal injuries that required the expense of hospitalization.

The plaintiff holds Matthew Henry Krath responsible because he allegedly failed to stop for traffic that had slowed and stopped on SR 417.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages in excess of $15,000, plus taxable cost of litigation and other damages as allowable by Florida law. She is represented by James Thomas Gordon of Beers & Gordon, PA in Oviedo.
