ORLANDO — An Orange County law firm is suing a biotech company, alleging breach of contract and unjust enrichment.
Allen, Dyer, Doppelt & Gilchrist, PA filed a complaint Dec. 11 in Orange County Circuit Court against Pneumoflex Systems Inc., alleging failure to pay the plaintiff for legal services as it agreed to do.
According to the complaint, Allen, Dyer, Doppelt & Gilchrist provided legal counsel in intellectual property cases to Pneumoflex and has represented the defendant in more than 100 matters, assisting in the acquisition of more than 40 U.S. and international patents.
In exchange, the suit says, the defendant agreed to make payment for services acquired and received, but despite its repeated promise to pay for all invoices, Pneumoflex owes the sum of $565,158.35.
The plaintiff alleges Pneumoflex Systems has refused to pay for the services received despite voluntarily accepting the benefit of the legal services and the advance of legal expenses, along with the patents secured with expenses paid for by ADDG.
Allen, Dyer, Doppelt & Gilchrist seeks trial by jury, judgment of $565,158.35, plus interest and all other just and proper relief. It is represented by attorneys Ryan T. Santurri and Brian R. Gilchrist of Allen, Dyer, Doppelt & Gilchrist PA in Orlando.
