CLEARWATER — A Clearwater dentist is suing Northwestern Mutual, alleging alleged breach of contract after the plaintiff became disabled.

Dr. Kirk Parrott filed a complaint Dec. 10 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Northwestern Mutual Insurance Company, alleging the plan administrator breached an insurance policy.

According to the complaint, Parrott was a beneficiary of a Northwestern insurance policy when he became disabled. As a result of the defendant's conduct, the suit says, Parrott has incurred damages for loss of past and future benefits due him.

The plaintiff alleges Northwestern Mutual Insurance has failed and refused to perform on the contract after he was disabled.

Parrott seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000, attorney fees, court costs and all other appropriate remedies. He is represented by attorney Paul S. Kimsey of Kimsey Law Firm PA in Tampa.
