Motorist sues rental vehicle owners and driver for negligence

ORLANDO — A motorist is suing Ryder Truck Rental Inc., et al., vehicle owners and driver, citing alleged negligence.

Dunord Thomas filed a complaint on Dec. 6 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against the defendants alleging that they negligently operated and/or maintained their motor vehicles.

According to the complaint, Thomas alleges that in June 4, 2018, he was involved in a vehicle accident that occurred at or near the intersection of State Road 435 and Major Boulevard in Orlando. He suffered bodily injury, resulting in pain, disability, physical impairment, disfigurement, mental anguish, inconvenience and loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life. The plaintiff holds Ryder Truck Rental Inc., et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly carelessly caused their vehicle to collide with his vehicle.

Thomas requests a trial by jury and seeks damages that exceed $15,000, plus interest, costs and attorneys' fees and all issues so triable. He is represented by Jared M. Wise of Morgan & Morgan, PA in Orlando.
