ORLANDO — A taxi company is suing a BMW owner, alleging negligence caused a crash.

Yellow Cab Company of Orlando Inc. filed a complaint Dec. 6 in Orange County Circuit Court against Miguel Angel Burdier Tapia, alleging the BMW owner failed to exercise reasonable care in the ownership and operation of a motor vehicle.

According to the complaint, on Nov. 26, 2017, Yellow Cab's 2014 Toyota Camry sustained damage on U.S. Highway 441 (Orange Blossom Trail) in Orlando when it was hit by a BMW driven by Tapia. The suit says the Yellow Cab Toyota was damaged in the amount of $10,349.

The plaintiff alleges Tapia negligently caused his BMW to collide with Yellow Cab's Toyota.

Yellow Cab seeks trial by jury, damages of less than $15,000, plus interest and attorney fees. It is represented by attorneys Carey N. Bos and Kenneth J. Idle of Kubicki Draper in Orlando.
