CLEARWATER — A property owner is suing Security First Insurance Company, citing alleged breach of contract.

Janice Volpe filed a complaint on Dec. 10 in the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court - Pinellas against Security First Insurance Company alleging that it failed to pay for all of her losses.

According to the complaint, Volpe alleges that her 8370 57th St. N., Pinellas Park property was insured by the defendant from Jan. 30, 1917 to Jan. 30, 1918. During the policy period, the property sustained a covered loss due to water damage. Volpe notified the defendant about the damages and was assigned a claim number. She holds Security First Insurance Company responsible because it allegedly  failed to provide coverage for certain of her losses, which is a material breach of contract.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for all losses with interest on any overdue payments and any incidental and foreseeable consequential damages plus attorney's fees and costs. She is represented by Morgan Vasigh of Morgan & Morgan PA in Tampa.
