Car accident 19

ORLANDO — A Polk County motorist is suing another driver, alleging negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Alfredo Martinez filed a complaint Nov. 29 in Orange County Circuit Court against Zulai K. Vazquez and Skyhop Global LLC, alleging the defendants negligently and carelessly operated or maintained the motor vehicle that caused a collision with the plaintiff's vehicle.

According to the complaint, on Feb 19, Martinez was traveling on state Road 528 (Beachline Expressway) when Vazquez's vehicle rear-ended the plaintiff's car. The suit says due to the force of the impact, the plaintiff's vehicle was forced forward into the rear of the vehicle in front him.

As a result, Martinez says he suffered bodily injury, resulting in pain, disability, disfigurement and mental anguish, plus the expense of hospitalization, medical and nursing care and treatment.

The plaintiff alleges Vazquez, who was operating the vehicle with the consent of Skyhop Global, failed to keep her eyes on the roadway, causing a rear-end collision with Martinez's motor vehicle.

Martinez seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000, court costs and all further just and proper relief. He is represented by attorney Kevin G. Humphries of Lopez & Humphries, PA in Lakeland.
