CLEARWATER — A motorist is suing another driver, alleging negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Patricia Gatewood filed a complaint Nov. 27 Pinellas County Circuit Court against Michael Schlag, alleging the defendant failed to operate his motor vehicle in a careful and prudent manner.

According to the complaint, on Nov. 17, 2016, Gatewood was involved in an auto collision near the intersection of Clearwater Largo North and Eighth Avenue Northwest in Largo when Schlag's vehicle collided with the plaintiff's car.

The suit says Gatewood sustained bodily injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, medical and nursing care and treatment expenses. The plaintiff alleges Schlag negligently operated his vehicle so that it collided with the plaintiff's automobile.
