CLEARWATER — A Palm Harbor property owner is suing a licensed insurer, alleging breach of an insurance policy.

Joseph Clark filed a complaint Nov. 26 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against The People's Trust Insurance Company, alleging failure to provide coverage for certain of the plaintiff’s losses due to water damage.

According to the complaint, during the policy period, Clark's dwelling at 149 Lake Short Drive N., Palm Harbor, sustained a covered loss due to water damage.

Clark says he timely notified People's Trust of the damages and was assigned a date of loss of Jan. 1, 2018. The plaintiff alleges The People's Trust Insurance has failed to pay for all of the plaintiff’s losses.

Clark seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, exclusive of interest, court costs and attorney fees. He is represented by attorney Aruna D. Nankissore of The Nation Law Firm LLP in Longwood.
