By Philip Gonzales | Dec 5, 2018

ORLANDO — An Orlando homeowner is suing a licensed insurer, alleging breach of an insurance policy.

Bevis Jackson filed a complaint Nov. 20 in Orange County Circuit Court against GeoVera Specialty Insurance Company, alleging failure to provide coverage for some of the plaintiff's losses.

According to the complaint, on April 20, 2017, Jackson's dwelling at 13054 Carlsbad Pace, Orlando, sustained a covered loss due to water damage. At the time of the loss, the suit says, the GeoVera policy was in full force and effect for which Jackson seeks payment.

The plaintiff alleges GeoVera Specialty Insurance has failed to pay for all of the plaintiff's losses.

Jackson seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000, exclusive of pre-judgment interest, attorney fees, and court costs. He is represented by attorney Aruna D. Nankissore of The Nation Law Firm LLP in Longwood.
