Motorist alleges another driver's negligence caused Pinellas County crash

CLEARWATER — A motorist is suing another driver, alleging negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Zibija Kadic filed a complaint Nov. 14 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Lynn Marie Gee, alleging failure to exercise standard care and skill in the operation of a vehicle.

According to the complaint, on May 26, while Kadic and Gee were traveling near the intersection of 54th Avenue and 34th Street in Pinellas County, when Gee's negligent driving caused a collision with the plaintiff's vehicle. The suit says Kadic sustained significant and permanent loss of an important bodily function, disability, pain and suffering, mental anguish, loss of enjoyment of life, loss of earnings, medical expenses, and aggravation of pre-existing condition. 

The plaintiff alleges Gee failed to adequately maintain and operate a motor vehicle so as not to cause harm, and failed to be on proper lookout for other vehicles.

Kadic seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, plus court costs and interest on all liquidated damages. She is represented by attorney Matthew E. Noyes of Perenicj, Caulfield, Avril & Noyes PA in St. Petersburg.
