ORLANDO — A St. Lucie County man is suing Orlando resort operators, alleging negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff.

Robbie Washington filed a complaint Nov. 13 in Orange County Circuit Court against Westgate Palace LLC, ding business as Central Florida Investments Inc., alleging failure to use extra care to maintain the resort's premises in a reasonably safe condition.

According to the complaint, on July 14, 2017, Washington was at the defendant's resort in Orlando when he slipped and fell on a slippery liquid substance while entering the elevator. He says he sustained serious injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, disability and loss of the capacity for the enjoyment of life.

The plaintiff alleges Central Florida Investments failed to take corrective steps to remedy the condition and failed to warn its invitees of such a danger.

Washington seeks trial by jury, monetary damages that exceed $15,000, exclusive of attorney fees, court costs and interest. He is represented by attorney Brian M. Davis of Trial Pro PA in Orlando.
