CLEARWATER — A motorist is suing Anisha Hendricks and State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, driver and insurer, citing alleged breach of contract and negligence.
Jasmine MacConnell filed a complaint on Nov. 9 in the Pinellas Circuit Court against the defendants alleging that defendant Hendricks negligently operated her vehicle so as to cause it to collide with plaintiff's automobile.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 16, 2018, she was involved in an auto collision at or near the intersection of Central Avenue and 3rd Street South in the city of St. Petersburg. She sustained serious bodily injuries and damages that greatly exceed defendant Hendricks' liability coverage. The plaintiff holds Anisha Hendricks and State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company responsible because the defendant State Farm failed to settle plaintiff's claim for underinsured motorists coverage.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in excess of $15,000 and all issues so triable. She is represented by Joel P. Yanchuck of Yanchuck, Berman, Wadley, Thomas & Berman PA in St. Petersburg.
