CLEARWATER — A Madeira Beach man is suing Clearwater Beach boat adventure company, alleging an unsafe work environment led to injuries.

Jerome W. McFarlane III filed a complaint Nov. 12 in Pinellas Circuit Court against Clearwater Jetski and Parasail LLC, alleging failure to exercise reasonable care in providing a reasonably safe workplace.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 27, McFarlane was working within the scope of his employment at Clearwater Jetski's floating structure in Clearwater Beach when his foot went into a crevice. The suit says McFarlane sustained injuries, resulting in great pain, inconvenience, disfigurement and scarring and loss of earnings.

The plaintiff alleges Clearwater Jetski and Parasail failed to maintain it premises in a reasonably safe condition.

McFarlane seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, exclusive of interest, attorney fees and court costs, plus all other just relief. He is represented by attorney Christian A. Mver of Berkowitz & Myer in St. Petersburg.
