ORLANDO — A hotel guest is suing the Disney World Hilton, alleging negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff.

Kimberly Ballard filed a complaint Nov. 8 in Orange County Circuit Court against HLT Property Acquisition LLC, doing business as Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista and/or Hilton in the Walt Disney World Resort, and Hilton Management LLC, alleging failure to provide a safe environment for business invitees.

According to the complaint, on Feb. 9, 2015, Ballard was on the premises of the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista, 1751 Hotel Plaza Blvd. Lake Buena Vista. The suit says Ballard slipped and fell by the rear entrance of the hotel due to the slick and slippery floor.

Ballard says she sustained bodily injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of enjoyment of life, loss of earnings and aggravation of a pre-existing condition.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to detect and remedy the dangerous and hazardous condition of the wet floor, and failed to inspect the area to detect hazardous conditions.

Ballard seeks trial by jury, damages that exceed $15,000, exclusive of costs, interest, and attorney fees. She is represented by attorney Sekou M. Clarke of The Sekou Clarke Law Group in Orlando.
