CLEARWATER — A Pinellas County woman is suing a Seminole bowling alley, alleging negligence caused injuries to the plaintiff.

Rosemarie Colangelo filed a complaint Nov. 1 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Seminole Lanes Inc., doing business as Strike & Spare Fun Centers, alleging failure to follow applicable safety guidelines and regulations.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 20, 2017, Colangelo was at the defendant's bowling alley, 8668 Park Blvd., Suite K, Seminole, when she slipped and fell because of the slippery substance in front of the bowling lane. As a result, Colangelo says, she was injured in and about her body and extremities, incurred medical expenses, endured pain and suffering, loss of ability to lead and enjoy a normal life, incurred loss of wages and a loss of wage-earning capacity.

The plaintiff alleges Strike & Spare Fun Centers failed to adequately maintain and inspect the floor space in and around the bowling lane and failed to adequately warn Colangelo of the dangerous slippery condition.

Colangelo seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000, exclusive of interest, costs and attorney fees. She is represented by attorney Michael C. Bird of Morgan & Morgan Tampa PA in Tampa.
