CLEARWATER — A New Hampshire woman is suing the owners and managers of a Treasure Island condominium, alleging negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff.
Deborah Rowles filed a complaint Nov. 8 in Pinellas Circuit Court against Sunsational Beach Rentals LLC, et al, alleging failure to properly maintain the condominium units in a reasonably safe condition.
According to the complaint, on Dec. 14, 2013, Rowles was renting a unit at the defendants' Surf Beach Resort in Treasure Island when she slipped on water that was flooding her unit due to the water dripping from the ceiling and walls. She says she sustained serious and permanent injuries, which resulted in great pain and suffering, disability, inconvenience, loss of earnings and medical expenses.
The plaintiff alleges the defendants negligently allowed a known dangerous condition to exist on the property and failed to remediate the problem or to provide adequate warning.
Rowles seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, exclusive of interest, costs and attorney fees and all other just relief. She is represented by attorneys Frank D. Butler and James S. Curtis of Pinellas Park.
