CLEARWATER — A Pinellas County woman is suing WAWA, alleging negligence caused injuries to the plaintiff.

Cynthia Allen filed a complaint Nov. 8 in Pinellas Circuit Court against WAWA Inc., alleging the convenience store operator failed to maintain a safe environment for its invited patrons.

According to the complaint, on July 11, 2014, Allen sustained a severe injury, after falling on a wet floor at the WAWA at 9500 Bay Pines Blvd., St. Petersburg. She said she sustained severe and permanent injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, disability, inconvenience, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life and loss of earnings.

The plaintiff alleges WAWA failed to adequately provide proper maintenance, failed to create adequate safety measures and failed to adequately warn patrons of the foreseeable risks of injury.

Allen seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, exclusive of interest, court costs, attorney fees and all other just relief. She is represented by attorney Lynley B. Flagler of Flagler Law PA in St. Petersburg.
