St. Petersburg motorist alleges another driver caused crash

CLEARWATER — A St. Petersburg motorist is suing another driver, alleging negligent driving caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Megan Sayler filed a complaint Nov. 1 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Robert D. Hines, as personal representative of the estate of Phyllis Pepin and Mark Pepin, alleging the defendants failed to entrust and operate a vehicle in a safe manner.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 27, 2015, near the intersection of Indian Rocks Road and West Bay Drive, Largo, Sayler's vehicle was struck by Mark Pepin's vehicle, being operated at the time by Phyllis Pepin. . 

As a result, Sayler says she sustained permanent and continuing injuries that need medical and nursing care. 

The plaintiff alleges Phyllis Pepin negligently operated and/or maintained Mark Pepin's motor vehicle so as to cause a collision with Sayler's vehicle.

Sayler seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, costs, interest, prejudgment interest and any other appropriate relief. She is represented by attorney Joshua M. Drechsel of Josh Firm PA in St. Petersburg.
