CLEARWATER — A St. Petersburg woman is suing a Canadian driver, alleging negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.
Tarhiana M. Campbell filed a complaint Oct. 30 in Pinellas Circuit Court against Anna R. Belerique of Toronto, alleging the defendant negligently controlled her motor vehicle, causing it to strike the automobile operated by plaintiff.
According to the complaint, on April 22, Campbell was involved in an auto collision near the intersection of 40th Street South and 11th Avenue South in St. Petersburg when her vehicle was smashed into by Belerique's 2013 Dodge Caravan. Campbell says she sustained serious and permanent injuries, resulting in great physical pain and suffering, inconvenience, disfigurement, diminution of earnings and medical expenses.
The plaintiff alleges Belerique failed to exercise reasonable care in operating her vehicle.
Campbell seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, exclusive of interest, court costs and attorney fees and all other just relief. She is represented by attorney Christian A. Mver of Berkowitz & Myer in St. Petersburg.
