ORLANDO — An Orlando property owner is suing a liability insurer, alleging breach of an insurance contract.

Yolanda Gonzalez filed a complaint Oct. 25 in Orange County Circuit Court against Security First Insurance Company, alleging failure to honor and comply with its own contractual obligations.

According to the complaint, on June 17, Gonzalez's property at 10841 Dominico St., Orlando, was damaged by wind while the Security First insurance policy was in full force and effect. She said she timely reported the loss to the defendant, which assigned her a claim number. The plaintiff alleges Security First Insurance Company has failed to fully compensate for Gonzalez's loss.

Gonzalez seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, exclusive of interest, court costs, attorney fees and all other just and proper relief. She is represented by attorney Aaron S. Bass of Silver, Bass, Brams & Daniels PA in West Palm Beach.
