ORLANDO — Motorists are suing Betty Sumpter, a driver, citing alleged negligence.
Yeong Joo, Myung Joo, Kwang Chun and Kyung Chun filed a complaint on Oct. 29 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida-Orange County against Betty Sumpter alleging that the driver negligently operated her vehicle such a way that it collided with the plaintiff's vehicle.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Dec. 26, 2017, Yeong Joo, Myung Joo, Kwang Chun and Kyung Chun were injured in an automobile collision on North Park Avenue due to the carelessness of defendant. The plaintiffs holds Betty Sumpter responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to observe traffic condition, failed to stop or failed to yield the right of way to avoid a collision. Plaintiffs suffered bodily injury and resulting pain and suffering, disability, mental anguish, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life, and medical and nursing care treatment expenses.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek damages of more than $15,000, exclusive of interest, costs and attorney's fees and all issues so triable. They are represented by Derek L. Metts of Metts Legal PA in Altamonte Springs.
