ORLANDO — An Orlando woman is suing a pick-up driver and owner, alleging negligence caused a vehicle crash that injured the plaintiff.

Mehret Teku filed a complaint Oct. 19 in Orange County Circuit Court against Clyde Allen and C.Q. Insulation Inc., alleging C.Q. negligently entrusted its pick-up truck to Allen, a careless driver.

According to the complaint, on May 17, 2017, Teku was involved in a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Mercy Drive and WD Judge Drive in Orlando when a C.Q. industrial pick-up truck driven by Allen rear- ended her vehicle. She says she sustained injuries, resulting in scarring or disfigurement, disability, inconvenience, medical care and treatment expenses and loss of wages.

The plaintiff alleges Allen carelessly operated his motor vehicle and caused it to collide with Teku's car.

Teku seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, exclusive of interest, court costs, attorney fees and all other just and equitable relief. She is represented by attorney George H. Anderson, III of Dan Newlin & Partners in Orlando.
