ORLANDO — An Orlando property owner is suing a licensed insurer, alleging breach of an insurance contract.

Javier Yataco filed a complaint Oct. 19 in Orange County Circuit Court against Security First Insurance Company, alleging failure to provide complete coverage for the plaintiff's loss.

According to the complaint, Yataco's property at 730 Yates St., Orlando, was physically damaged during the policy period. Yataco says he promptly notified Security First of the loss.

As a result of defendant's actions, the suit says, Yataco has become obligated to pay attorney's fees in bringing this legal action. The plaintiff alleges Security First Insurance refused to pay the full amount owed under the policy.

Yataco seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, exclusive of interest, court costs and attorney fees. He is represented by attorney Andrew M. Bragg of Kanner & Pintaluga PA in Tampa.
