CLEARWATER — A Pinellas County woman is suing Allstate, alleging failure to provide uninsured/under-insured motorist coverage.

Lauren C. Buck filed a complaint Oct. 30 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Allstate Fire and Casualty Insurance Company, alleging the insurer failed to provide proper auto collision coverage.

According to the complaint, on June 1, Buck was involved in a vehicle collision due to the negligence of under-insured tortfeasor, Ann Zetterberg. The suit says Zetterberg was operating a 2007 Mercedes Benz ML500 that collided with the motor vehicle where Buck was a passenger along 66th Street North and 96th Avenue North in Pinellas Park.

The lawsuit states Buck sustained bodily injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, impairment, disability, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment of life, mental anguish, loss of earnings and she incurred medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Allstate Fire and Casualty Insurance should cover the damages sustained from the negligence of the tortfeasor Zetterberg in the maintenance, operation and control of her vehicle.

Buck seeks trial by jury, judgment in excess of $15,000, exclusive of attorney fees and court costs, and all other just relief. She is represented by attorney Christian A. Myer of Berkowitz & Myer in St. Petersburg.
