Orange County landlord alleges tenant, guarantor owes more than $18,000

ORLANDO — An Orlando landlord is suing a tenant and guarantor, alleging breach of a lease agreement.

MBK-DHK Investments Limited Partnership filed a complaint Oct. 19 in Orange County Circuit Court against Omega Solutions Transport Inc. and Manuel Benitez, alleging default in payment of more than $18,000.

According to the complaint, on April 15, 2016, the parties executed a fifth lease modification agreement. Pursuant to the agreement, the suit says, Omega Solutions has possession of two leased premises at 1429 Central Florida Parkway, Orlando, and is in default in total amount of $18,656.04, as of Oct. 1, 2018. 

The suit alleges the monthly rent continues to accrue at the rate of $3,874.06 per month. The plaintiff alleges Omega Solutions Transport and Benitez have refused to deliver the premises and failed and refused to pay overdue rents.

MBK-DHK Investments seeks trial by jury, judgment of $18,656.04, plus interest, court costs, attorney fees and all other just and proper relief. He is represented by attorney John S. Schoene of Maitland.
