ORLANDO — An Orange County man is suing a motorist, alleging negligence caused a car crash.

Julio Colon Arce filed a complaint Oct. 17 in Orange County Circuit Court against Abderrazzak Bouayad, alleging failure to exercise reasonable care while operating a motor vehicle.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 23, 2017, Arce was involved in an auto collision when Bouayad struck the rear of his car at or near the intersection of Landstar Boulevard and Fairway Woods Boulevard in Orange County. Arce says he sustained bodily injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, impairment, disability, mental anguish, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life and medical and hospital expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Bouayad negligently failed to observe his surroundings and failed to timely apply brakes to stop his motor vehicle.

Arce seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, exclusive of interest, court costs and attorneys fees. He is represented by attorney Zachary A. Leacox of McBride, Scicchitano & Leacox PA in Orlando.
