CLEARWATER — A Pinellas County company is suing a former employee, alleging tortious interference in turning off the plaintiff's website.

Pranique LLC filed a complaint Oct. 17 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Charity Carollo, alleging the defendant continues to interfere with the plaintiff's business relationships.

According to the complaint, Carollo, a former Pranique employee who sold all of her interest in the company's membership, has used her former access to all of plaintiff's records and business assets, particularly the Pranique website.

Pranique demanded that Carollo turn the site back on and turn over the passwords but its requests were ignored and the defendant allegedly demanded payment for the site if Pranique wanted to continue using it.

The plaintiff alleges Carollo engaged in intentional and unjustified interference with Pranique's business relationship by shutting down its website and attempting to be paid to restore the site.

Pranique seekd trial by jury, damages of at least $15,000, injunctive relief, plus costs, legal fees and all other just and proper relief. It is represented by attorney Jeffrey Mark Sherman in Oldsmar.
