CLEARWATER — A Palm Harbor couple is suing an insurance company, alleging breach of contract.

Linda and Alvin Hall filed a complaint Oct. 17 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Edison Insurance Company, alleging the defendant refused to pay for all the plaintiffs' losses after a hurricane.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 11, 2017, the Halls notified Edison Insurance of the property damages at 4320 Lavender Drive, Palm Harbor, suffered as a result of Hurricane Irma and received an assigned claim with a date of loss.

The Halls say they have complied with all conditions precedent to entitle them to recover under the policy but they did not receive any insurance coverage compensation.

The plaintiffs allege Edison Insurance has refused to pay for all the plaintiffs' losses after they suffered covered damage to their property.

The Halls seek trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, plus interest on any overdue payments, attorney fees and court costs. They are represented by attorney James Goodnow of Morgan & Morgan PA in Tampa.
