ORLANDO — An Orlando construction business is suing a Sunrise subcontractor, alleging breach of an agreement.

S.A. Casey Construction Inc. filed a complaint Oct. 12 in Orange County Circuit Court against MCK William Construction Corp., alleging the defendant owes more than $18,000 for failure to perform its obligations under the terms of the agreement.

According to the complaint, S.A. Casey hired MCK William as a subcontractor to perform interior framing, drywall and finishing for its project at 6835 S. Conway Road, Suite No. 200, Orlando. The suit says the plaintiff purchased materials from Suncoast Building Materials on behalf of defendant for a sum of $23,586.36.

As a result of Suncoast's threat to file a lien against the property, S.A. Casey says it was forced to pay the full amount. The plaintiff alleges MCK William Construction, despite its representation that it would pay the outstanding balance, has failed to do so.

S.A. Casey Construction seeks trial by jury, payment of the $23,586.36, less the $5,569 withheld from defendant for a net amount of $18,017.36, interest, court costs, attorney fees and all other just and proper relief. It is represented by attorney John R. Samaan of Orlando.
