Orlando driver alleges Connecticut motorist caused crash

ORLANDO — An Orlando woman is suing a Connecticut motorist, alleging negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Joy Butler filed a complaint Oct. 8 in Orange County Circuit Court against Samuel Meyers, alleging he carelessly operated his vehicle and caused it to collide with Butler's automobile.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 5, 2017, Butler was involved in a motor vehicle collision near the intersection of state Road 434 and Lake Underhill Road in Orlando due to Meyers' carelessness. Butler says she sustained serious injuries to the head, body and nervous system and resulting in pain and suffering, inconvenience, loss of earnings and medical and hospitalization expenses. 

The plaintiff alleges Meyers failed to operate his automobile in a careful and prudent manner.

Butler seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, exclusive of interest, court costs and attorney fees. She is represented by attorney Gary J. Boynton of Winter Park.
