ORLANDO — An insurance company is suing an Orlando hauling business, alleging negligence led to the damage of equipment.

General Star Indemnity Company, also known as North American Crane & Rigging LLC, filed a complaint Oct. 8 in Orange County Circuit Court against Deberadini Trucking Company, doing business as Deberadini Heavy Haul, alleging failure to perform its work in a safe, proper and workmanlike manner.

According to the complaint, on June 20, General Star's insured’s crane equipment was damaged when Deberadini Heavy Haul's truck and trailer overturned. As a result, the suit says, General Star has made payments to its insured in excess of $15,000 for damages to the equipment and other related costs and expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Deberadini Heavy Haul failed to properly secure and haul the equipment and failed to select properly trained and qualified employees to perform the hauling service.

General Star Indemnity seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000, plus interest, costs and all other just and proper relief. It is represented by attorney Joseph F. Rich of Cozen O' Connor in Miami.
